I was a little suspect about this working due to it, but to my surprise (and happiness) it worked. While the release number did not change, I do not know. Give it a whirl - hopefully it will work for you. I downloaded the file at the link above, installed it, and am now running fine. I had previously installed / uninstalled / reinstalled 2.0.33 three separate times, none of which worked. HTC emailed me about it yesterday after a week of going back and forth on this.

I also installed the app "as admin" and I also disabled the Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus while it was installing.Īlternatively - is there a better way/app to sync my Outlook Contacts? The HTC Sync app starts up - but then after that the same results - no connection. I then found that there is a slightly older version installed on the phone - ver 2.0.25. The phone looks for HTC Sync for a while before finally telling me HTC sunc can not be found. I connect the phone and select HTC Sync from the pop up. HTC Sync now starts up - but everything is grayed out. Through a web search I find a site that tells me to copy the DLLs to a different folder. When I down load and install - the HTC Sync app will not start up due to missing dlls. I down loaded the latest version from HTC's site, ver 2.0.33. I have a Dell laptop with Windows Vista Ultra 32 bit.
#Htc sync manager wont connect to phone how to#
Anyone figure out how to get HTC sync working on the Incredible yet?
